Before, during, and after the cruise.
I am very sorry that I haven’t made a post in a while but there was no Wi-Fi on the cruise so I couldn’t publish it on Google.
This post occurs over several days.
First day of the cruise- I woke up and ate a few pieces of fruit before getting in the rental car and heading to the airport to drop it off. Walking 9 minutes to catch an uber to the cruise terminal was a little tiring with all the luggage but my family and I managed to do it. First impressions are amazing! There is a Christmas tree, and the room is so clean and just wonderful.
3 days into the cruise- I went to the pool once so far and it was incredibly crowded. The kids can get free ice cream and practically all the food is free! The cruise was going to go to the Great Barrier Reef but there was a huge cyclone so it got rerouted to Sydney. It was quite disappointing but I got to wander the Christmas markets with my mom and also got to go to scenic world. Scenic world has amazing views of the blue mountains and puts up moving dinosaur statues along the walking path in the summer. The mountains aren’t actually blue, there is a blue haze around them. Did you know that the Grand Canyon is smaller than the blue mountains? The blue mountains are 11,400km2 and the Grand Canyon in 4,931km2. There is a library on the cruise that I have been going to, to work on my blog because it is nice and quiet but there are only about 50 books there. The two things that I like the most are that there is a climbing wall, and that there are elevators, because it would take forever to walk to the 15th floor for the climbing wall. The climbing walls are just like at the Calgary climbing centre, except there are only 3 walls instead of about 25. There are 3 difficulties and also challenges you can do, like not touching any other colour than yellow.
After the cruise - The cruise was incredible and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were so friendly and housekeeping would make an animal out of towels and leave it for us to discover! Overall, I would rate my first cruise experience a 15/10!
Sounds fun! It’s hard to believe a cruise ship has 15 floors, a boat that has 15 floors, that’s crazy big.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very good, glad to hear you have an opportunity to research. Your teacher will be so proud of you. Marilyn and Rick. Also you are missing -30 weather in Calgary.
