100 days!

Day 100!🥳
Hello! I am leaving Chiang Mai today! I have had a wonderful time in Chiang Mai and am very excited to go to Bangkok.  My favourite part about all the Asian countries I have been to are probably the night markets. A bunch of things are under $5 (150 thb), and there are food stalls with every type of food! A good example for how cheap things are - I got 5 rings for $4, and I estimate they would be $45 for all 5 at home! Handmade goods are also incredibly cheap, because the material doesn’t cost much and labor costs are less because food is cheaper.

I will definitely miss the markets, but I also will miss the food. With so many new and different flavours, it would be crazy not to try it. Thailand is hard though, with my allergy. They put peanuts in a lot, but are also very honest when we ask if there are peanuts in something. I am also very excited to be going to Bangkok, the street food capital of the world today to try pad thai! I haven’t been able to try it yet because all of the food stalls so far use peanuts, but I hope that I can try it in Bangkok.

One thing I have enjoyed doing in Chiang Mai was probably going to a place where people make paper out of elephant poo! I know, sounds disgusting but it was actually quite fun, though I don’t know the full process of how it gets made because there was no tour guide. I do know that it gets made into different coloured balls, but am not sure of the process to get there. Then, you will take the coloured balls, and put them into a tray with a bunch of water and shake it until it sits flat on the tray. Then, put it in the sun to dry for 6 hours. I got to decorate and take home a notepad as well! It was very fun.

I forgot to mention, I ate a centipede for 10 dollars! It was disgusting. Do not recommend.
