Vietnam + Dubai
Going to Dubai tomorrow, Thailand has been fun, but I would want to stay in the center of bangkok next time because there is not much on the outside. I have noticed how many 7-11s are in Thailand though, and it is crazy. There are probably at least 10 on 1 street! There are also plenty foot and leg massage places, even in the mall!
One thing I will remember about Bangkok is how kind people are. I know that I say that about a few places, but I mean it! The staff at the house I stayed at are just so nice! My sister didn’t like the meal they made (she said it was spicy), so they made another meal for her. Another example is how people at the market will give me discounts because I am a kid. I think it is so funny how the Asian people call kids baby. I went to an aquarium in Bangkok and it was probably the best aquarium ever! I was super exited to see a stingray and all sorts of different fish! There was a fish called the cowfish in the aquarium and it was super weird! I was asking a lot of questions about the fish in the aquarium, so the worker took my family on a private tour of the tanks!
Dubai
Hello from Dubai! I am only here for 5 days because the cheapest place to stay was $400 per night. Everything in Dubai is also super expensive! A tote bag the size of my hand was $100! And no, this wasn’t in some super expensive mall, it was at the market. Dubai is also the home of the tallest building in the world, and the biggest waterpark in the world! Of course I went to the waterpark and had an amazing time there! The lines got pretty long, so I only went on about half of the watersides. There were about 105. The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and is 1921 ft to the top floor. My mom, dad, and sister went to the 160th floor which is the tallest viewpoint in the world and still not the top floor!

ONLY half the waterslides?!?! That’s still like 52! Those price are crazy high in Dubai, do you know why?
ReplyDeleteNo, I don’t know why, but I wish I did! You are also able to bargen down quite a bit sometimes.
DeleteHello Allison,
DeleteHow have you been? The waterpark sounds like a crazy amount of waterslides! We think West Ed only has 15ish! That's crazy! Speaking of water, be sure to stay hydrated- suggested Firas. We appreciate you posting blogs constanly for the class, as we enjoy reading about your adventures!
We recently recieved your Angkor Wat postcard, so fun to get mail! It was at one point -50˚C...You mentioned wanting to be home in the cold, however it is pretty nice around here lately! The temperature today was 5˚ C, no need for jackets!
A big event here is we just finsihed The Giver novel, project and watched the movie yesterday.
Veronica is curious about the scribbles on the postcard, why are they there.
Sincerely, Simburwans!
P.S.
