  Hello! For the first night of safari I stayed at a place with private pool and it was awesome! I saw 7-10 different animals on the first day, which is super lucky and rare. A herd of elephants crossed our path and walked beside the safari truck which was super cool! When we got back there was a zebra right outside our room which made me a little bit nervous. The next place I stayed was a tented camp where you needed to call for security to bring you to the main tent so you won’t be eaten by a hyena or lion. I stayed in 2 places like that, but one moved with the migration of the wildebeest so there were no permanent water tanks and you had to call for shower water. The reason I saw so many zebra, gazelles, and wildebeest is because of the migration! The great migration is when most of the animals move from one side to the other (North to South, East to West) to find more food and water.  Hello! I am sorry I haven’t been posting a lot because I went on safari and the wifi was horrible. A better blog to read will be my mom’s because she posts every day.  This post is from Dubai.  Hello! I went on a tour in Dubai for the market and it was very informative. I went to the market before the tour and it was nice to get some extra information. For example, the “real cashmere “ scarfs are fake which didn’t really surprise me. Another example is how they will overprice things so much ($300 when it is worth $50) and be very mad when you bargain to a reasonable price. I have    also noticed how they speak better english than in Asia so they can be more stubborn for getting you to buy things. I had to take a boat across the water to get to the market. The boats were small    motorized rowboats that can hold about 15 people. The market smelled very strongly of spices which makes sense because almost all of the shops are spice stores.   Going to Dubai tomorrow, Thailand has been fun, but I would want to stay in the center of bangkok next time because there is not much on the outside. I have noticed how many 7-11s are     in Thailand though, and it is crazy. There are probably at least 10 on 1 street! There are also plenty foot and leg massage places, even in the mall!    One thing I will remember about Bangkok is how kind people are. I know that I say that about a few places, but I mean it! The staff at the house I stayed at are just so nice! My sister didn’t like the meal they made (she said it was spicy), so they made another meal for her. Another example is how people at the market will give me discounts because I am a kid. I think it is so funny how the Asian people call kids baby. I went to an aquarium in Bangkok and it was probably the best aquarium ever! I was super exited to see a stingray and all sorts of different fish! Note from Jenn- Amelia sent me this a while ago and I forgot to post it, my apologies! Hi I am so sorry because I haven’t posted in a while! We were in Vietnam and the first stop was  Hoi An and it was crazy there! At the night market there were people trying to sell stuff to you everywhere! It was like this:    do you want this?     do you want this?do you want this? And it was sooooooooo annoying. The place we stayed at was pretty decent we had a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms a living room and even a roof top balcony! The second place was Da Nang and we stayed at a Hotel called the Grand Mercure! It was fancy but the second night Allison had a little bit of an accident with peanut and she thought she was going to die but she didn’t thankfully! My grandpa and my dad calculated it and it turned out to be about her dose so she of course skipped her peanut dose for that day because we don’t want her having too much peanut. Day 100!🥳 Hello! I am leaving Chiang Mai today! I have had a wonderful time in Chiang Mai and am very excited to go to Bangkok.    My favourite part about all the Asian countries I have been to are probably the night markets. A bunch of things are under $5 (150 thb), and there are food stalls with every type of food! A good example for how cheap things are - I got 5 rings for $4, and I estimate they would be $45 for all 5 at home! Handmade goods are also incredibly cheap, because the material doesn’t cost much and labor costs are less because food is cheaper.  I will definitely miss the markets, but I also will miss the food. With so many new and different flavours, it would be crazy not to try it. Thailand is hard though, with my allergy. They put peanuts in a lot, but are also very honest when we ask if there are peanuts in something. I am also very excited to be going to Bangkok, the street food capital of the world today to try pad thai! I haven’t been able to try it...

 Hello! I am in Cambodia now, and so far I love it! It is so warm and markets are everywhere with stuff to buy. During my time in Cambodia (5 nights) I have gone to many different places. The first place I went to is Angkor Wat, which is the largest temple complex in the world and has over 1 million carvings! All the carvings were done by hand which was very difficult 1000+ years ago. Angkor Wat was originally constructed as a Hindu temple, but changed to a buddhist temple at the end of the 12th century. The second  place I went was where they used trained rats to sniff out land mines. They were all planted by hand, and have caused over 19000 deaths - over half kids, and over 50000 injuries. The kids think it is a toy, pick it up, and then it explodes. They bring the rats all over cambodia, except farmlands because there is too much food, and the rats would get distracted. They use huge rats and I even got to hold one.  The last place I went to was a circus called phare. ...

    Hello! I am leaving vietnam and going to Cambodia today. Vietnam has been way outside of my comfort zone, and I have not particularly enjoyed that. The worst thing about vietnam is how you have to walk on the street because there are motorcycles parked and food stands on the sidewalks. To make it even worse, there are motorcycles coming from every way and you have to dodge them while walking. I think the best thing about Vietnam though, has been how kind the staff are. All of them love kids and it is always so sad to leave.  I went to 2 cooking classes in Vietnam, and it was totally worth it. For the first one everyone got to cook 1 dish, but some people left at the end. The second one was a private class at a restaurant, and there were 3 things that all of us got to make.
